Choose your agent
Each agent page has the setup message, a way to check the connection, first questions to try, and help if setup stops. Some agents install the finance skill with the connection; others add it separately.

What if your agent is not listed?
An agent that can load the finance skill and operate Candor's remote MCP server or CLI can use the setup materials below.
Candor supplies records, calculations, and saved context. Your agent interprets them and takes external action only through its own tools under your authority.
Manual connection details
A last resort. Your agent sets Candor up from the setup message and guides you through anything it cannot do itself, and your Candor dashboard can finish the rest. Use these values only if an app asks you for connection details directly; they work in every app.
Server address: https://api.candor.money/mcp. Most apps only need the address. Choose OAuth for authentication and leave Client ID and Client Secret blank; the app registers itself and discovers the rest from the address.

Token authentication: none
Token authentication is none for this public client. Do not choose OpenID Connect or add openid, email, or profile to the scopes. If an app insists on a Client Secret or a Client ID it cannot create itself, email us. Never enter made-up credentials or paste tokens into chat.
Finance skill: most apps install it with the connection. If an app asks for the file, download the complete candor-finance skill ZIP and upload it through the app's skill control, not as a chat attachment. The same skill and plugin packages are at https://github.com/candorsystems/candor-finance.
A setting is missing or locked. Check your app's own instructions for which plan, role, and device can add connections. On a work or school account, ask the admin to allow custom connections and skills. If your account cannot, pick another agent or email us.
Sign-in expired, was cancelled, or keeps failing. Open the Candor connection in your app and choose Connect or Sign in again. Use the new link and come back to the same app after approving. If your app runs on another computer, sign in from that computer.
Connected, but the conversation cannot use Candor. Turn Candor on in the conversation's tools menu and start a new conversation. Make sure you connected it in the same account and on the same device you are using now.
The finance skill is missing or still scanning. Find candor-finance in your app's skill list and turn it on. If the app scans skills, wait for the scan to finish before starting a new conversation. If the skill is not there, upload the ZIP from the skill file section where the app manages skills, not as a chat attachment.
