Check it worked
Start a new conversation with Meta Muse, enable Candor if asked, and send this:
Check whether the candor-finance skill and Candor access are ready. Tell me about anything missing. If access works, continue my financial task, or start a first review of my money if I have not named one. Be clear about gaps in the records.
Ask Muse to confirm the finance skill is loaded, open your Candor workspace, and show which accounts and dates are available. If it asks you to sign in, finish the browser approval and return to Muse. If it still cannot connect, follow the setup help above or contact support with the error message.
What you should see: Meta Muse names the accounts available in Candor and tells you how recent the information is. If you have not added accounts yet, it should explain how to add them. A missing account or older information does not mean setup failed. Ask Meta Muse what is missing before installing again.
What to try with Meta Muse and Candor
Start by asking Muse to review recent spending against your savings goal. It can use Candor's records to explain what fits and keep the plan you approve for the next review. Ask Muse separately if you want a recurring check-in, and have it confirm the schedule.
What access are you granting?
Meta Muse can read the financial records you connect or import into Candor, including available balances, transactions, debts, and holdings. It can also maintain notes and approved plans in the workspace.
Candor has no tool to move money, pay a bill, trade, or cancel a service. Your agent uses its own tools and your authorization for external actions. Candor records a reason for each agent operation, and you can revoke the connection from your account controls.
Common questions
- What does Candor add to Meta Muse?
- A financial workspace. Candor reviews your records whenever they change and keeps a short list of what needs a decision, from a price increase to idle cash or an employer match, with the figures behind each item. Meta Muse reads that list when you ask, or on a schedule if it supports one, and the budgets, goals, and decisions you approve are saved for the next conversation and for any other agent you use.
- Muse already has Finances. Why add Candor?
- Finances in Muse works inside Muse and focuses on spending and subscriptions. Candor keeps a short list of what needs a decision across your whole picture, including cash, debt, insurance, and tax questions, and saves the plans and reasons you approve in a read-only workspace that Claude, ChatGPT, and Grok Bot can use too.
- How does Meta Muse connect to Candor?
- Use Candor's remote MCP server with Muse's hosted authorization flow and finance skill. Meta documents custom connectors for services with APIs or CLIs; Candor is not a built-in Meta connector. If automatic setup stops, use the manual help on this page to complete a pending approval or contact support.
- Should Muse install the Candor CLI?
- Use Candor's remote MCP connection and finance skill. Muse handles the connection and gives you a browser link to approve access. Follow the Muse setup guide below.
- Why did approval succeed but the connection fail?
- A completed browser approval may not have reached Muse's hosted connection. Reopen the pending connection and start a new sign-in if offered; an old authorization code cannot be reused. If no retry control appears or the same error recurs, contact support with the error text. Keep the finance skill installed.
- What does Candor cost?
- Candor shows its current price and terms before you connect financial accounts. Meta Muse's own plan and usage charges are separate.
- How do I disconnect Meta Muse?
- Revoke the agent's access in your Candor account controls. You can also disconnect a financial institution. Removing a local skill alone does not revoke an existing authorization.
