# Connect Candor in Meta Muse

Candor is your financial memory.

Use Muse's native setup workflow; its current instructions take precedence.
Reuse working components. [START](https://candor.money/START.md) supplies the
materials; this page is optional recovery help.

- **MCP:** `https://api.candor.money/mcp`, Streamable HTTP, OAuth with automatic
  discovery and dynamic client registration. No user-supplied client secret.

- **Packages:** that public repository carries supported plugin and extension
  formats that can install both the skill and MCP connection together.

Use remote MCP for the hosted connection. The Candor CLI requires a reachable loopback callback; a browser running separately from the agent VM cannot complete that login.

Let Muse choose installation, skill location, authorization, and reloads.
Complete what you can and guide user-only steps. Keep credentials in Muse's
secure flow, never in chat.

The Muse phone app asks for a Client ID it cannot fill in, and a user is
never expected to supply one. Have the user finish setup at muse.ai in a
browser (phone or computer); the phone app then uses the same connection. If
Candor works on web but the phone app reports a credential error, keep the
connection and complete any pending sign-in on web with the same account.
Never invent an ID or callback.

If the user disconnected Candor, start a fresh authorization. A remembered
grant or a newly generated approval link is not proof of a working connection.

Once the skill and tools load, call `candor_open`, follow any returned recovery,
and continue into the user's financial task. If setup is blocked, use your

are available when needed.
