What can Gemini do with Google Wallet?
Gemini can read transaction data from bank and card accounts you have linked to Google Wallet through Plaid, summarize your spending, and suggest budgeting tips. It can also check rewards and offers on cards in your Wallet and find passes such as boarding passes and loyalty numbers. Google says it can't make payments or change your linked accounts.
Google added Google Wallet as a Gemini connected app around September 28, 2026, and is rolling it out gradually. Tag @Google Wallet in a prompt, or ask a question that needs it. Google's examples: how much you spent on groceries last month, and your airline loyalty number.
Google says it can't make transactions using payment methods in your Google Wallet, or update or delete connected financial accounts. With Memory on, Gemini can bring what it learned in past chats into later ones. It doesn't keep a budget, goals, or decisions to check your accounts against.
Who can use Gemini with Google Wallet?
Adults in the U.S. with a personal Google Account and Gemini's Keep Activity setting on. It works in English, in the Gemini mobile app and at gemini.google.com, and not in Gems or Gemini Live. Google is rolling it out gradually, so it may not appear for you yet. Linking a bank to Google Wallet through Plaid is also U.S. only.
Work and school accounts are not supported. Google's help article lists no paid plan as a requirement.
On October 17, 2026, we checked the Connected Apps list on a U.S. personal account (Customize, then Connectors, at gemini.google.com). It had Google Workspace, Google Photos, YouTube, and Experian, but no Google Wallet yet. Check your own list.
How do you turn on Google Wallet in Gemini?
Link your accounts to Google Wallet first, then ask Gemini a question that needs them. On the Google Wallet website, open Settings, then Accounts linked with Plaid, then Link an account. In Gemini, tag @Google Wallet or ask about your spending; if Wallet is not connected yet, Gemini offers to connect it.
1. On the Google Wallet website, select Settings, then Accounts linked with Plaid, then Link an account. Accept the terms, sign in to your bank on Plaid's screen, and select Got it when you are done.
2. Make sure Keep Activity is on in Gemini. Gemini can't connect to Google Wallet without it. The next section explains what that setting does.
3. Open the Gemini app or gemini.google.com and ask a question that needs your Wallet, or tag @Google Wallet. If Wallet is not connected, Gemini gives you the option to connect it. Follow the on-screen steps.
4. Check it worked by asking the question below. Gemini should name your accounts and a recent date. If it says it can't reach Wallet, the feature probably hasn't reached your account yet.

What does Gemini keep, and is it used to train Google's AI?
Gemini only works with Google Wallet when Keep Activity is on. With it on, your chats and what you share are saved in your Gemini Apps Activity, and Google says it uses that activity to improve its services, "including training generative AI models," with help from human reviewers. Activity deletes itself after 18 months unless you change that.
Turning Keep Activity off stops your future chats from being used to train Google's models (unless you send feedback), and Google keeps them for 72 hours. It also turns off Google Wallet and most other connected apps in Gemini.
Google says a subset of chats is reviewed by people, including its trained service providers, and that chats are disconnected from your account before they are sent to service providers. Reviewed chats are kept for up to three years. Google also says Gemini chats are not used to show you ads, and that it will tell you if that changes.
Linking a bank to Google Wallet shares more than transactions. Google's help center says Google and Plaid store the account or card number, the routing number where there is one, transaction history, balance, and your name, address, phone number, and email. If you remove an account from Wallet, Google deletes its transaction history.

How do you turn it off or unlink your bank?
In Gemini, go to Customize, then Connectors, open Google Wallet's More options menu, and select Disconnect. Your bank stays linked to Wallet. To unlink the bank too, go to Google Wallet's Settings, then Accounts linked with Plaid, choose the account, and select Unlink.
1. Stop Gemini's access: at gemini.google.com, select Customize in the sidebar, then the Connectors tab. Find Google Wallet, open More options, and select Disconnect.
2. Unlink the bank from Wallet: on the Google Wallet website, select Settings, then Accounts linked with Plaid, choose the account, select Unlink, and confirm. Google deletes the transaction history for that account.
3. Check Plaid: Plaid Portal at my.plaid.com lists the apps you have connected through Plaid and lets you manage those connections.
4. Delete past chats: Gemini Apps Activity lets you review and delete your activity and change the auto-delete period.
Where does Candor fit?
Use Candor if you want your agent to build a plan with you and keep working on it. Your agent sets goals and a budget from your real figures, Candor saves them with the reasons behind each decision, and every week Candor's review raises what's worth talking through. Candor is read-only and never moves money.
Candor is not in the Gemini app's connector list. Its supported Google path is the terminal: Antigravity CLI, which free, Google AI Pro, and Ultra users moved to on June 18, 2026, or Gemini CLI with a paid Gemini API key or Code Assist Standard or Enterprise. Both install Candor's extension. Candor also works in Claude, ChatGPT, Grok Bot, Muse, and other agents, with the same records and plan in each.
The two don't share data. You link your accounts to Candor separately, and you can leave Gemini's Wallet connection on or turn it off.

- Does Gemini see my bank password?
- No. You link your bank to Google Wallet on Plaid's screen, and Plaid says it does not share your bank username and password with the apps you connect. Never type a bank password into a chat.
- Can Gemini pay with my Google Wallet cards?
- No. Google says the Google Wallet connected app cannot make transactions using payment methods in your Wallet, and cannot update or delete your connected financial accounts.
- Can I use Gemini's Wallet feature with Keep Activity off?
- No. Gemini can't connect to Google Wallet while Keep Activity is off. Turning it off keeps your future chats out of Google's model training (unless you send feedback), and it also turns off Wallet and most other connected apps in Gemini.
- Is it available outside the U.S.?
- Not yet. Google lists it for adults in the U.S. with personal Google Accounts, in English, and linking a bank to Google Wallet through Plaid is U.S. only.
