Check that my refund actually arrived

Close the loop on a refund or cancellation you already requested.

Try this with your agent
What your agent needs
The merchant, expected amount, and promised refund or cancellation date.
What you get back
A matched transaction, or a clear follow-up draft if the outcome is overdue.
When to use it
Run it when you need it, or ask your agent to repeat it weekly.

Try it with your finances

Copy the prompt into your AI agent to get started. It uses your Candor records and asks for any missing context.

Help me follow up on a refund or cancellation. Ask which merchant, the amount if relevant, and what was promised by when. Check Candor for matching posted activity and distinguish pending from completed outcomes. Remember the evidence and expected date in your notes. If it is overdue, prepare a follow-up message for me; ask before sending it. Do not mark it resolved without supporting evidence.

Nothing runs until you send the prompt to your agent.

Match the promise to a posted credit

Updated

A merchant's refund confirmation and money arriving in your account are separate events. Give your agent the merchant, expected amount, original payment account, and promised date. It can look through Candor's records for a matching credit and keep the expectation in a note until there is evidence of the outcome.

Check the answer

  • Confirm the credit is posted, belongs to the right purchase, and covers the expected amount. A partial refund or pending credit may leave part of the question open.
  • If nothing matches, check source freshness and whether the refund went to another card or store credit before concluding it is overdue.

Choose a next step

Use the saved promise and transaction references to prepare a follow-up draft. For a cancellation, also check for later charges. Close the note only when the relevant outcome is confirmed.
