Create your Candor account and choose your plan. Connect your financial accounts now or import statements with your agent later. 2. Then send Hermes: Set up Candor from https://candor.money/START.md and walk me through connecting it here. 3. Hermes handles the setup its tools support and guides you through approving access to your Candor account. 4. Ask Hermes to open your workspace and check which accounts and dates are available. ## Let Hermes handle setup Once your Candor account is ready, copy this message into Hermes. Hermes Desktop and the CLI write the same configuration, so a connection made in one works in the other, and with a remote backend Desktop runs the sign-in step on your own machine. ## Check the connection before your first review Ask Hermes to open Candor using its MCP tools. A reload of MCP alone does not establish that a newly installed skill has loaded. Verify the finance skill in the fresh session and check the workspace's coverage before drawing conclusions. ## What to try with Hermes and Candor An annual check-in benefits from remembered questions. Have Hermes review changes in your records, collect what it still needs from benefits or insurance documents, and prepare questions for the relevant professional. Hermes reads that list when you ask, or on a schedule if it supports one, and the budgets, goals, and decisions you approve are saved for the next conversation and for any other agent you use. ### How do I update the finance skill? Use hermes skills update candor-finance, then start a fresh session. The skill update and MCP authorization are separate: a skill-only update does not require creating another server entry. ### What does Candor cost? Candor starts at $8.25 a month on the annual plan ($99 a year), or $14.99 month to month, and the first 7 days are free. Hermes's own plan and usage charges are separate. ### How do I disconnect Hermes? Revoke the agent's access in your Candor account controls. You can also disconnect a financial institution.
